14km walk/hike/climb to
the summit of Snowdon over the challenging Crib Goch.

The
first stretch. Start as you mean to go on (up!). The first part of the
hike ended up being a 2½
mile hike up the road to the start of the route up Snowdon.
The start of the trek
up to the summit.

At this point we get
given a choice which way we want to go. Obviously the only way is up!
Looks like a decision
has been made

Its off to the top the
hard way, over Crib Goch!!
The start was easy,
with a great view. The following are just a few of the photo's taken on
the way up.

Are you sure that is
the right path Uncle Neville? Yes Lincoln this is where we sort the men
from the boys!

It was the more of a
climb than a walk/hike! No wonder this was where sherpa Tensing and
Hilary trained before their assault of Everest! This looked like
Everest.
These are what we were
able to take on our way up while we were trying to catch our breath.

For god's sake don't
tell your mum which way we went!

Just sit still Lincoln!

As we started to near
the top the clouds started to come over the top. We were soon to lose
our great view. Waterproofs out and gloves and hat on.
The summit is in sight!
People come from
everywhere, up the pig track, the miners track and of course the easy
route by the train track! Some of these people really need to learn that
Snowdon is a mountain and therefore should wear the right clothes!
Lincoln is first to
touch the trig point at the summit of Snowdon. His first major trek and
he manages the 2nd highest mountain in the UK. What an achievement!
Well done Lincoln!

The summit conquered
now time for the trek down, in the rain!
Why is coming down
always so more painful than going up?
At last the end!
